SIZE gives syntax error

Post by Dutchman » Fri Sep 06, 2019 10:52 am

When changing my "Tree" program, there now appears to be an unexpected Syntax error.
The documentation states in the section "Miscellaneous":
SIZE m
Returns the number of elements in the list or dictionary M.
However, the following code is not accepted:

Code: Select all

F1$=DIR FILES "/" : n1=SIZE F1$
It is still a long way to go

Yes, function SIZE now is SIZE OF.
Maybe you are using an old version, but documentation was updated both in the app and in separate documents.

SIZE and TYPE are too common words to deprive a user of these words, so now they are commands SIZE OF and TYPE OF, or SIZEOF and TYPEOF.
