Test for DATA label

Post by Dutchman » Sat Oct 26, 2019 1:30 pm

Would it be possible to determine whether a label from a DATA list is present?
This would help, for example, to overrule default data via "RESTORE TO testedLabel" if a certain label ("testedLabel") with DATA is present in an "included" file.
It is still a long way to go

I am designing functions to plot graphs where the axes are generated automatically depending on the size of abscissa and the ordinate.
I use default values for scaling, grid lines, labels, colors etc..
The DATA for that purpose is present in the functions. However, if the user wants to use his own values for those variables, he can offer them after a label, for example "PlotDATA:". It would be nice if the presence of that DATA could be tested with an "exist" function eg:
"LABEL EXISTS x" returns 1 if label 'x' exists else returns 0.
It is still a long way to go
